Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using the Aava: Self-Talk Mastery (formerly You are: voice affirmations) application operated by Intentional Labs. These terms apply to the app on all platforms where it is available, including the Apple App Store and Google Play. Where a section applies to only one platform, this is stated.
By downloading or using the app, these terms will automatically apply to you. You should make sure therefore that you read them carefully before using the app.
Important — please read this section carefully.
Aava is a personal wellness and affirmation tool designed to support emotional well-being and positive self-reflection. It is not a mental health service, medical device, diagnostic tool, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or psychiatric care.
No medical or health claims. The app’s content — including affirmations, topics, voice recordings, and audio features — is provided for general well-being, relaxation, focus, and personal-reflection purposes only. We make no claim, representation, or warranty that the app will diagnose, treat, cure, prevent, or improve any medical, psychological, or physical condition. Nothing in the app constitutes medical advice. Statements within the app and its marketing have not been evaluated by any medical or regulatory authority.
Audio frequencies. Some features layer audio tones or frequencies (for example, Alpha, Theta, and Gamma settings). These are intended as relaxation and focus aids only. Any associated effects are subjective and experiential, vary from person to person, and are not clinically proven. If you have a medical condition (for example, epilepsy or a seizure disorder), are pregnant, use a pacemaker or hearing device, or have any concern, consult a qualified healthcare professional before using audio-frequency features, and stop using them if you feel unwell.
Individual results vary. Any benefits described or implied are not guaranteed. Your experience depends on many personal factors outside our control. You agree not to use the app as a substitute for professional care, and to consult a qualified professional before relying on the app for any medical, psychological, or health-related purpose.
In a crisis. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or medical emergency, do not rely on this app — seek help immediately from a qualified healthcare professional or contact an emergency service in your area.
The app itself, and all the trade marks, copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights related to it, still belong to Intentional Labs. This includes all design, graphics, affirmation content, animations, text, and software within the app. Custom affirmations you write yourself remain your own.
You are not allowed to copy, or modify the app, any part of the app, or our trademarks in any way. You are not allowed to attempt to extract the source code of the app or create derivative works based on it.
Aava is a daily affirmation application that provides personalised affirmation feeds, topic-based categories, custom affirmation creation, voice recording and playlists, custom backgrounds using photos you choose, streak tracking, collection management, and optional daily reminder notifications. Core content is delivered on your device; the app also uses third-party services for analytics, session recordings, and subscription processing, as described in our Privacy Policy. The app does not guarantee any specific emotional or wellness outcomes.
The app offers a paid subscription, “Aava Pro,” which unlocks premium features. It is available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play. The following terms apply:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Intentional Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app, including any emotional or wellbeing-related outcomes.
The app is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the operation or availability of the app, or any health, wellness, emotional, or other outcome from its use (see Section 2). This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights you may have under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India. Nothing in these Terms affects any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the laws of your country of residence.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will do this by publishing the new terms on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date.
