Privacy Policy for Gratitude Forest

Last Updated: August 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Intentional Labs (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles your information when you use our mobile application, Gratitude Forest (the “Service”).

1. Summary

We do not collect any data from you.

Gratitude Forest has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no trackers. We do not operate servers that receive your information, and we have no way to see what you write. Everything you create in the app is stored on your device and stays there.

The one exception worth reading is Section 4, which explains what happens when you dictate an entry with your voice.

2. Information We Collect

None.

Specifically, we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, photos, advertising identifier, device identifier, usage analytics, crash reports, or the content of your gratitude entries or voice recordings.

We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies. We do not sell, share, or disclose personal information, because we do not have any.

3. Data Stored on Your Device

All of the following is created and stored solely on your device, in the app’s private storage:

This data is never transmitted to us. It is removed when you uninstall the app. Because we never receive a copy, we cannot recover it for you if your device is lost or the app is deleted.

4. Voice dictation and your device’s speech recognition

If you choose to dictate an entry rather than type it, the app uses your device’s built-in speech recognition — Apple’s on iOS, Google’s on Android — to turn speech into text.

This is a service provided by your device’s operating system, not by us. Depending on your device, your language, and your system settings, that service may process the audio on the device itself, or may send it to Apple’s or Google’s servers to be transcribed. We do not control which, we do not receive the audio, and we do not receive the transcript from them — the resulting text is handed back to the app on your device and saved locally like anything you typed.

If you would prefer no audio to reach a third party at all, type your entries instead of dictating them. Typing involves no external service of any kind.

For details of how those companies handle speech data, see Apple’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy.

5. Permissions

The app may ask for the following. Each is optional, and the app remains fully usable if you decline.

6. Third-Party Services

None. The app contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash-reporting service, and no payment or subscription processor. It makes no network requests of its own.

The only external party that may be involved in normal use is your device’s own operating-system speech recognition, described in Section 4.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. Since we collect no information from anyone, we do not knowingly or unknowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to retain, and no deletion request to make.

To delete everything the app has stored, delete individual entries within the app, or uninstall the app to remove all of it at once.

9. Your Rights

Privacy laws such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to know whether it is sold. These rights are directed at organisations that hold your data. We hold none — your data is on your device, under your control, and you can read, edit, or delete it in the app at any time. We do not sell or share personal information.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, and will update the “Last Updated” date above.

If a future version of the app introduces anything that transmits data — analytics, accounts, cloud backup, or subscriptions — this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described here.
