2. Accessibility Service API (Crucial)

Lux uses the Android Accessibility Service API to provide its core functionality:

Purpose: To create a system-wide dimming overlay that covers the entire screen, including the notification shade and navigation bar.

Data Privacy: We do not use the Accessibility Service to collect, store, or share any personal or sensitive user data. We do not monitor your screen content, keystrokes, or interactions with other applications.

User Consent: This service is only activated with your explicit permission. You may disable this at any time in your device settings.

3. Third-Party Services

To manage features and improve the app experience, we use the following third-party services:

• Google Play Services: For core app functionality.
• Google Play Billing: To process purchases securely.
• Adapty: To manage paywalls and analyze anonymized purchase data to improve our offerings.
• PostHog: To collect anonymous product analytics that help us understand how users interact with the app and improve the experience. PostHog does not collect any personally identifiable information, screen content, keystrokes, or device identifiers tied to your identity.

What PostHog collects:

• Anonymous usage events: Such as which screens are viewed, which features are used, and whether the paywall is seen — helping us improve the app.
• Basic device metadata: Such as OS version and screen size, for compatibility improvements.

What PostHog does NOT collect:

• No names, emails, or personal identifiers
• No screen content or keystrokes
• No location data
• No data is sold or shared with advertisers

4. Data Security

We prioritize the security of your data. Since we do not collect personal information, your data risk is minimized. Any anonymized analytics data is handled through industry-standard encrypted channels by our third-party providers.

Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
